This is the picoFahrrad, a small, soon to be electrified bike/scooter. I will hopefully weld the frame soon so that the mechanics are finished. The rear wheel is a 7.5″ DIA pneumatic that will be belt driven, probably by a DC motor. Hopefully the electric motor portion will serve as the final project component of my power electronics class this term. Perhaps one day it would be fun to build a hub motor for the rear wheel instead, but that may be out of the scope for something I can finish by the end of the term. This will be my first motorized project where I will be designing the motor control circuit. Stay tuned for more.
