This weekend was full of garage organization and tool shuffling. In short, many things that needed doing were done.
The drill press now finally has a home against a wall, so it is time for all the drill bits to join it, too. Construction is very basic. I took apart the cheap metal drill index box that this set of cheap drill bits (yay, Harbor Freight!) came in and made wooden shelves for the individual drill bit holders to sit in. The shelves are angled at 15 degrees to make the rack more compact, while still making it easy to take the bits out.
Here is a view of the shelf pieces with the side rail removed:

I ripped a 2×4 at 15 degrees to create the angled shelf. the 15 degree bevel on the plywood is just to give the shelves a thinner profile, so the whole thing feels tighter against the wall.
Only a keyless chuck could make this operation more efficient. Someday…
